Purcellville Loudoun Valley takes the lead, but can’t maintain it in falling to Alexandria Episcopal 33-20

Alexandria Episcopal, not discouraged by an early deficit, rallied and eventually pulled away from Purcellville Loudoun Valley 33-20 in a Virginia high school football matchup on September 9.

The start wasn’t the problem for Purcellville Loudoun Valley, as it began with a 14-7 edge over Alexandria Episcopal through the end of the first quarter.

Alexandria Episcopal broke in front at the beginning of the fourth quarter with a 33-20 lead over Purcellville Loudoun Valley.

Both teams were blanked in the second and fourth quarters.
