Mentor Lake Catholic denies Niles’ challenge

Mentor Lake Catholic High School claimed a hard-fought victory over Niles McKinley High School in a 35-21 verdict on Nov. 3. The Cougars built a 21-7 lead at halftime, and held their lead with both teams scoring evenly in the fourth quarter. The win marks the fourth in a row for Mentor Lake Catholic, whose average points scored in the last four games we’ve covered is 10.5, and average points against is 0.25. Niles McKinley High School also entered the game with a four-game winning streak, with an average points scored of 11.75 and average points against of 0.0.
