Coming off a 3-2 loss against Maidenhead United FC, Eastleigh FC defeated Boreham Wood FC 5-1 at Silverlake Stadium on 04 November, 2023.
Eastleigh FC emerged victorious at Silverlake Stadium, downing Boreham Wood FC 5-1 on 04 November, 2023. The home team got off to a strong start, with Nigel Atangana scoring the opening goal in the 17th minute. However, the away team were unfazed, as Matt Robinson responded with a goal just one minute later. Chris Maguire quickly restored the 1- goal lead for Eastleigh, scoring in the 22nd minute. Ludwig Francillette added another for Eastleigh shortly before half-time to give the home team a comfortable 3-1 lead.
In the second half, Eastleigh continued their onslaught with Francillette scoring his second of the night in the 53rd minute. Despite Boreham Wood’s best efforts, the away team was unable to retaliate, being rewarded with a flurry of yellow cards in the 48th, 56th, 68th, and 89th minutes for foul play and time wasting. Eastleigh’s Jayden Harris was also given a yellow-red card for foul play in the 71st minute. In the end, Eastleigh were triumphant, finishing with a commanding 5-1 victory over Boreham Wood.
