Stevenage FC Clinch Thrilling Come-From-Behind Win Over Tranmere Rovers FC

It was a brilliant matchup all the way until the final 10 minutes, where Kane Hemmings scored a goal for Stevenage FC.

Coming off a 3-1 victory against Derby County FC, Stevenage FC defeated Tranmere Rovers FC 4-3 at The Lamex Stadium on 04 November, 2023.

The home side took the lead in the 3rd minute through Jordan Roberts, only for the away team to level the score from the penalty spot in the 28th minute. As the first half came to a close, Dan Butler from Stevenage FC and Christopher Merrie from Tranmere Rovers were both booked for dissent and foul play.

In the second half, Robert Apter equalised for Tranmere Rovers in the 55th minute, but Jamie Reid restored Stevenage’s lead with a penalty soon after. Kane Hemmings then secured the win with a goal in the 81st minute, assisted by Carl Piergianni. Brad Walker from Tranmere Rovers was the only further desciplinarary action, receiving a booking for a foul in the 67th minute, with Kane Hemmings from Stevenage also picked up a caution for a foul late on.
