Coming off a 2-0 victory against Tranmere Rovers FC, Stockport County FC defeated Worksop Town FC 5-1 at Edgeley Park on 04 November, 2023.
Stockport County FC sealed their victory in heroic fashion with a 5-1 success against Worksop Town FC at Edgeley Park on 04 November, 2023. In the first 45 minutes, Kyle Wootton opened the scoring for Stockport County FC in the 14th minute with a brilliant assist from Jayden Richardson; however, Worksop Town FC were quick to retaliate when George Taft set up Jay Rollins in the 22nd minute. Just before the half-time whistle, Wootton bagged his second courtesy of a brilliant pass from Callum Camps.
The second-half began with Stockport County FC determined to extend their lead, and after a consistent build-up, Kyle Wootton added his third of the game in the 67th minute. Four minutes later, another brilliant assist from Paddy Madden allowed Wootton to claim his fourth of the evening, whilst Odin Bailey grabbed a crucial fifth goal in the 83rd minute to put the cherry on top of Stockport County’s victory.
