Coming off a 3-0 victory against Manchester United FC, Manchester City FC defeated AFC Bournemouth 6-1 at Etihad Stadium on 04 November, 2023.
Manchester City FC put on an exciting show at home, overwhelming visitors AFC Bournemouth 6-1 at Etihad Stadium. In the first half, Jeremy Doku opened the scoring with a majestic finish assisted by Rodri, before Bernardo Silva doubled the lead with a sweet strike fed in by Doku. Manuel Akanji added to the tally with a Similarly well-timed goal, but not before AFC Bournemouth’s Philip Billing was given a yellow card for not retreating.
In the second half, Doku once again proved his worth as an assist king when he set up Phil Foden who Clinched the lead for a fourth time. It was an effort that proved to be the difference between victory and defeat, as Luis Sinisterra struck for Bournemouth with an impressive shot assisted by Max Aarons. However, Bernardo Silva and Nathan Aké closed the door on any chance of a comeback, both scoring fine goals set up by Doku and Oscar Bobb respectively.
