It was a brilliant matchup all the way until the final 10 minutes, where Roberto Firmino scored a goal for Liverpool FC.
Coming off a 0-0 draw against Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC drew against Arsenal FC 2-2 at Anfield on 09 April, 2023.
In the first half, Liverpool FC’s Mohamed Salah scored an equalizing goal in the 42nd minute after Arsenal FC had taken an early lead with Marty Martinelli’s goal in the 8th minute, followed by Gabrel Jesus’ goal in the 28th minute. Tempers flared during the first half, with Ben White from Arsenal FC and Virgil van Dijk from Liverpool FC both receiving yellow cards for fouls by the 23rd and 31st minute, respectively. This was followed by yellows for Trent Alexander-Arnold and Granit Xhaka of Liverpool and Arsenal, respectively, for an argument in the 41st minute.
The second half was equally intense, but with fewer opportunities. Roberto Firmino managed to secure the equalizing goal with an assist from Alexander-Arnold in the 87th minute. In addition, Aaron Ramsdale from Arsenal FC and Fabinho from Liverpool FC were issued yellows for time wasting and fouls in the 53rd and 55th minute, respectively. Bukayo Saka from Arsenal was also issued a yellow for time wasting in the 84th minute.
