Rome Model blanks Blue Ridge Fannin County

If a foe fails to score, you can’t lose. Rome Model proved that in blanking Blue Ridge Fannin County 24-0 in Georgia high school football action on Oct. 7.

Both offenses were stymied without points on either side in the first quarter.

The Blue Devils fought to a 7-0 intermission margin at the Rebels’ expense.

Rome Model darted to a 10-0 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

The Blue Devils put a bow on this victory with a strong fourth-quarter kick, outpointing the Rebels 14-0 in the last stanza.

Last season, Blue Ridge Fannin County and Rome Model squared off on Oct. 15, 2021 at Rome Model High School.

In recent action on Sept. 29, Rome Model faced off against Rockmart and Blue Ridge Fannin County took on Calhoun Gordon Central on Sept. 23 at Calhoun Gordon Central High School.
