Cairo shoots past Columbus Hardaway with early burst

Cairo scored early and continued the onslaught to prevail in a 42-14 win over Columbus Hardaway in a Georgia high school football matchup on Oct. 7.

Cairo thundered in front of Columbus Hardaway 16-0 to begin the second quarter.

The Syrupmakers’ offense steamrolled in front for a 35-0 lead over the Hawks at halftime.

Both offenses were stymied without points on either side in the third quarter.

The Hawks rallied in the fourth quarter, but the Syrupmakers skirted trouble with just enough offense to thwart all hopes.

In recent action on Sept. 28, Cairo faced off against Columbus Shaw.
