Too close for comfort: Jackson edges Athens 43-40

A sigh of relief filled the air in Jackson’s locker room after Wednesday’s 43-40 win against Athens in Ohio girls basketball action on February 5.

The clock was the only thing that stopped Jackson, which enjoyed the upper hand in a 19-14 fourth quarter, too.

The Bulldogs moved ahead of the Ironmen 26-24 to start the fourth quarter.

The Ironmen’s shooting jumped to a 21-17 lead over the Bulldogs at halftime.

The Bulldogs authored a promising start, taking advantage of the Ironmen 12-11 at the end of the first quarter.
