New Lexington survives competitive clash with West Muskingum 48-43

A sigh of relief filled the air in New Lexington’s locker room after Wednesday’s 48-43 win against West Muskingum in an Ohio girls basketball matchup.

West Muskingum fought to an interesting fourth quarter, yet New Lexington would not be denied in finishing off this victory.

The Panthers’ influence showed as they carried a 37-31 lead into the fourth quarter.

New Lexington’s offense jumped to a 24-12 lead over West Muskingum at halftime.

The first quarter gave the Panthers an 18-7 lead over the Tornadoes.
