Griffin Spalding rally stops McDonough Ola

Griffin Spalding seemed a step slow at the start, but rallied to win 27-17 over McDonough Ola in a Georgia high school football matchup on Sept. 3.

The start wasn’t the problem for McDonough Ola, as it began with a 10-7 edge over Griffin Spalding through the end of the first quarter.

Each offense authored its Rip Van Winkle imitation, napping through a barren second quarter.

Griffin Spalding broke in front at the beginning of the fourth quarter with a 19-10 lead over McDonough Ola.

The Jaguars got the better of the final-quarter scoring, finishing the game in style with an 8-7 edge.
