Byesville Meadowbrook slips past Cambridge

Byesville Meadowbrook posted a narrow 48-46 win over Cambridge on Sept. 3 in Ohio football action.

Cambridge showed it was ready to play, using an early thrust to carve out a 21-6 advantage over Byesville Meadowbrook as the first quarter ended.

The Bobcats had a 27-18 edge on the Colts at the beginning of the third quarter.

Byesville Meadowbrook broke in front at the beginning of the fourth quarter with a 36-34 lead over Cambridge.

Both teams scored evenly in the fourth quarter to make it 48-46.

In recent action on Aug. 20, Byesville Meadowbrook faced off against Zanesville Maysville and Cambridge took on Wintersville Indian Creek on Aug. 20 at Cambridge High School.
