Too close for comfort, Zanesville strains past River View 55-50

Zanesville’s grip wasn’t secure until the clock expired, but when that happened it had a 55-50 win for an Ohio boys basketball victory on January 31.

The Blue Devils put a bow on this victory with a strong fourth-quarter kick, outpointing the Black Bears 29-24 in the last stanza.

A half tie at 26-26 allowed for a respite as both teams looked to regroup in the locker room.

Tough to find an edge early, the Blue Devils and the Black Bears fashioned a 16-16 stalemate through the first quarter.
