Mighty close, mighty fine, Bowdon wore a victory shine after clipping Alpharetta St. Francis 23-18 in Georgia high school football on Sept. 30.

The Red Devils fought to a 14-6 halftime margin at the Knights’ expense.

Bowdon roared to a 23-6 lead heading into the final quarter.

The Knights narrowed the gap 12-0 in the fourth quarter but it was too little, too late.
