Hopewell-Loudon poked just enough holes in Carey’s defense to garner a taut 51-45 victory during this Ohio girls high school basketball game. .

The Chieftains avoided the brakes and shifted into victory gear via a 28-12 stretch over the final quarter.

The Blue Devils enjoyed a 33-23 lead over the Chieftains to start the fourth quarter.

Carey authored a promising start, taking advantage of Hopewell-Loudon 20-17 at the end of the first quarter.
