Savannah Johnson casts spell on Hinesville Liberty County

Savannah Johnson found the tipping point, and leaned on it to knock off Hinesville Liberty County 22-21 in Georgia high school football on Sept. 23.

The first quarter gave Savannah Johnson a 16-7 lead over Hinesville Liberty County.

The Panthers came from behind to grab the advantage 21-16 at halftime over the Atom Smashers.

Offense was nothing but a rumor in the third quarter, as neither squad scored.

The Atom Smashers put together a final-quarter comeback coaches describe in conditioning drills, owning a 6-0 edge in the final quarter.

Last season, Hinesville Liberty County and Savannah Johnson faced off on Sept. 23, 2021 at Savannah Johnson High School.

In recent action on Sept. 9, Savannah Johnson faced off against Nahunta Brantley County and Hinesville Liberty County took on Blackshear Pierce County on Sept. 9 at Blackshear Pierce County High School.
