Resurgence: Elberton Elbert County fights back to beat Louisville Jefferson County

Elberton Elbert County stepped on the gas in the first quarter of a 21-3 win over Louisville Jefferson County in a Georgia high school football matchup on Sept. 23.

Louisville Jefferson County showed it was ready to play, using an early thrust to carve out a 3-0 advantage over Elberton Elbert County as the first quarter ended.

Both offenses were stymied without points on either side in the second quarter.

Elberton Elbert County broke in front at the beginning of the fourth quarter with a 7-3 lead over Louisville Jefferson County.

The Blue Devils held on with a 14-0 scoring edge in the final quarter.
