Elyria Catholic handles stress test to best Parma Heights Valley Forge 35-27

It wasn’t pretty, gut-tough wins usually aren’t, but Elyria Catholic wasn’t going for style points. A victory will do, and it was earned 35-27 over Parma Heights Valley Forge in an Ohio high school football matchup on Oct. 22.

Both offenses were stymied without points on either side in the first quarter.

The Panthers opened a colossal 35-7 gap over the Patriots at halftime.

The Panthers roared in front of the Patriots 35-13 to begin the fourth quarter.

The Patriots fought to an interesting final quarter, yet the Panthers would not be denied in finishing off this victory.
