Springboro tugged on Superman’s cape by taking an early lead, only to feel the wrath of Krypton as Dayton Centerville rebounded for a 31-19 victory on Thursday in an Ohio high school football matchup on September 21.
The Panthers showed it was ready to play, using an early thrust to carve out a 10-7 advantage over the Elks as the first quarter ended.
Dayton Centerville fought to a 21-19 halftime margin at Springboro’s expense.
The Elks and the Panthers was engaged in a small affair at 28-19 as the fourth quarter started.
The Elks avoided the brakes and shifted into victory gear via a 3-0 stretch over the final quarter.
