Columbus Carver notched a win on the victory belt after defeating Albany Monroe 35-19 in a Georgia high school football matchup.

Offense was nothing but a rumor in the first quarter, as neither squad scored.

The Tigers opened a small 20-13 gap over the Tornadoes at the intermission.

Albany Monroe fought back in the third quarter to make it 20-19.

There was no room for doubt as the Tigers added to their advantage with a 15-0 margin in the closing period.

In recent action on Oct. 7, Albany Monroe faced off against Cordele Crisp County and Columbus Carver took on Thomasville on Oct. 7 at Thomasville High School.
