Coming off a 1-0 victory against Real Betis Balompié, Manchester United FC defeated Fulham FC 3-1 at Old Trafford on 19 March, 2023.
At the half-time mark, Manchester United FC were up 1-0. After the break, the game saw an exhilarating contest between the two sides as Fulham FC equalised in the 50th minute. However, United showed their tenacity and managed to take the lead again with a penalty goal in the 75th minute. They further sealed their win with a brilliant goal from Marcel Sabitzer in the 77th minute. Despite the 3-1 win for United, the game was marred by a series of cards with Andreas Pereira of Fulham and Harry Maguire from United receiving yellow cards in the first half, while Antonee Robinson and Willian of Fulham were given yellow and red cards respectively in the second half. Aleksandar Mitrović joined his team-mate with a red card of his own in the 72nd minute.
