Coming off a 2-2 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion FC, Leeds United FC defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers FC 4-2 at Molineux Stadium on 18 March, 2023.
The first half of the game saw Leeds United FC take an early lead, with Jack Harrison scoring in the 6th minute, thanks to Degnand Gnonto’s assist. Leeds’ Luke Ayling was not so lucky, receiving a yellow card for a foul in the 24th minute, while Wolves’ Craig Dawson received the same punishment in the 37th minute.
The second half moved fast, and it was soon 3–0 with Luke Ayling and Rasmus Kristensen both scoring for Leeds, supported by Marc Roca’s assist. In the 65th minute, Jonny Castro scored for Wolves, and Matheus Cunha added another goal in the 73rd minute. The home team were unable to hold off Leeds, and by the time Wolves’ Jonny Castro was sent off with a red card for a serious foul in the 84th minute, Leeds had taken the day with a 4–2 victory.
