Southampton FC Draws 3-3 Against Tottenham Hotspur FC

It was a brilliant matchup all the way until the final 10 minutes, where James Ward-Prowse scored a goal for Southampton FC.

Coming off a 2-0 loss against Brentford FC, Southampton FC drew against Tottenham Hotspur FC 3-3 at St. Mary’s Stadium on 18 March, 2023.

In the first half of the match between Southampton FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC, Southampton FC opened the scoring with an early goal from Ryan Bertrand in the 13th minute. Tottenham Hotspur FC came back in the 36th minute, equalizing the score 1-1 thanks to a goal from Harry Kane. The match was fiercely contested in the first half, with both sides creating chances, though the score remained at 1-1 until the half.

The second half was just as heated, with Southampton FC taking a 2-1 lead in the 46th minute through a goal from Che Adams, assisted by Theo Walcott. Tottenham Hotspur FC quickly equalized, when Dejan Kulusevski assisted Harry Kane for the second time in the 65th minute. Ivan Perišić put Tottenham Hotspur FC ahead in the 74th minute, only for Theo Walcott to level the score at 3-3 in the 77th minute, assisted by Sekou Mara. Despite some late chances, the match ended in a 3-3 draw, with Oliver Skipp and Kamal Deen Sulemana both receiving yellow cards in the second half.
