It was a brilliant matchup all the way until the final 10 minutes, where Ellis Simms scored a goal for Everton FC.
Coming off a 3-1 victory against Leicester City FC, Chelsea FC drew against Everton FC 2-2 at Stamford Bridge on 18 March, 2023.
In the first half of the game, there was tight defensive action from both sides, with Idrissa Gana Guèye from Everton FC receiving a yellow card for a foul in the 29th minute.
In the second half, the game encountered an explosive start when João Félix scored 1 goal for Chelsea FC in the 52nd minute. However, Everton FC answered back with a magical play orchestrated by James Tarkowski and unleashed in the form of a goal by Abdoulaye Doucouré in the 69th minute. Kai Havertz made sure that Chelsea FC can also take home 1 point as he scored a penalty goal in the 76th minute. The away team was able to answer back and snatch a draw with a goal by Ellis Simms in the 89th minute, again with credit to Abdoulaye Doucouré for the assist. Kalidou Koulibaly and Reece James, both from Chelsea FC, were also issued yellow cards on account of Foul and Argument respectively in the 57th and 74th minute.
