At Vitality Stadium, the Blues opened the scoring early thanks to Conor Gallagher’s 9th-minute goal, assisted by N’golo Kanté. AFC Bournemouth quickly responded with Matías Viña’s equalizer in the 21st minute, this time assisted by Ryan Christie. Shortly after, yellow cards were dished out to Mykhailo Mudryk from Chelsea FC and N’golo Kanté from Chelsea FC for simulation and a foul, respectively.
In the second half, Benoît Badiashile surged Chelsea FC back into the lead in the 82nd minute with a brilliantly set-up goal from Hakim Ziyech, clinching the victory just four minutes later when João Félix was assisted by Raheem Sterling to increase the lead to 3-1. Benoît from Chelsea FC was also given a yellow card in the 65th minute for a foul.
