Quitman Brooks County edges Bainbridge in tough test

Quitman Brooks County survived Bainbridge in a 26-18 win that had a seat-squirming feel for a Georgia high school football victory on Sept. 16.

The two teams dueled to an even start, with Quitman Brooks County and Bainbridge settling for a 7-7 first-quarter knot.

The Trojans registered a 19-7 advantage at halftime over the Bearcats.

Defense put both offenses in a deep slumber in the third quarter, with no one scoring.

The Trojans chalked up this decision in spite of the Bearcats’ spirited fourth-quarter performance.

In recent action on Sept. 2, Bainbridge faced off against Thomasville Thomas County and Quitman Brooks County took on Adel Cook on Sept. 2 at Adel Cook High School.
