Monroeville fell behind early but rebounded in the first quarter of a 66-41 win over Ashland Mapleton in Ohio high school football action on September 15.
The Mounties showed it was ready to play, using an early thrust to carve out a 21-7 advantage over the Eagles as the first quarter ended.
Monroeville’s offense moved to a 28-21 lead over Ashland Mapleton at the intermission.
The Eagles’ leg-up showed as it carried a 40-28 lead into the fourth quarter.
