Wapakoneta fought out of the gates to overcome a first quarter deficit for a 49-35 win over Kenton in Ohio high school football on September 15.
The start wasn’t the problem for the Wildcats, who began with a 14-0 edge over the Redskins through the end of the first quarter.
Kenton came from behind to grab the advantage 27-14 at halftime over Wapakoneta.
The Redskins broke in front at the beginning of the fourth quarter with a 28-27 lead over the Wildcats.
