Martins Ferry tugged on Superman’s cape by taking an early lead, only to feel the wrath of Krypton as St Clairsville rebounded for a 30-15 victory on Friday on September 15 in Ohio football action.
The Purple Riders authored a promising start, taking advantage of the Red Devils 7-6 at the end of the first quarter.
St Clairsville fought to an 18-15 halftime margin at Martins Ferry’s expense.
The clock was the only thing that stopped the Red Devils, which enjoyed the upper hand in a 12-0 fourth quarter, too.
Both teams was scoreless in the third quarter.
