What to Watch: Chelsea FC vs Liverpool FC on 13 August, 2023

On Sunday, August 13th, Chelsea FC will take on Liverpool FC at Stamford Bridge in a matchup of two of the most historic clubs in the English Premier League.

In the last six matches, Chelsea FC have had one win, two draws and three losses while Liverpool FC have had four wins, two draws and no losses. This Liverpool team has been in tremendous form of late and they will certainly be looking to build on those results when they take on the West London side.

Chelsea, on the other hand, have had a rocky patch recently and will be looking to put an end to their recent skid with a home victory. Both sides have quality players and formations which are capable of exploiting any weaknesses in the other team. This match-up should be an intense one as these two historic clubs battle for bragging rights in West London.

The last time Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC met was at Stamford Bridge on 04 April, 2023. The match ended without a victor as the teams finished with a scoreless draw. During the second half, each side had a player booked with yellow cards for different offences. Joël Matip from Liverpool FC was the first, receiving a yellow card for Foul in the 46th minute. Kostas Tsimikas from Liverpool FC and Mateo Kovačić from Chelsea FC were both booked with yellow cards for Fouls in the 56th and 68th minute respectively. Curtis Jones from Liverpool FC was also given a yellow card for Dissent in the 61st minute. Lastly, Fabinho from Liverpool FC received a yellow card for a Foul in the 74th minute. This match is sure to be just as exciting as the last when these two teams meet at Stamford Bridge.
