In the first half, Jacob Ramsey opened the scoring for Aston Villa FC in the 11th minute with an assist from Ollie Watkins. Newcastle United defender Fabian Schr was the unfortunate recipient of a yellow card for a foul in the 22nd minute.
In the second half, Ollie Watkins continued the scoring onslaught with two goals. The first came in the 64th minute, assisted by Alex Moreno, and the second came in the 83rd minute, following a beautiful assist from Jacob Ramsey.
