The scoreboard showed Centerville with a 23-14 lead over Wayne heading into the third quarter.
Neither defense permitted points in the second quarter, leaving the score 16-14 at halftime.
The Elks authored a promising start, taking advantage of the Warriors 16-14 at the end of the first quarter.
